Dr. Kirk Askia Talib-deen is an educator, scholar, and professor of English whose work centers on equity and Multicultural Education. With a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and over a decade of teaching at the college level, he brings both academic expertise and lived experience to his work. A longtime Las Vegas resident, he understands firsthand the realities of the school-to-prison pipeline, and the transformative power of education to create a path forward. His journey reflects both the challenges and possibilities within our systems. Dr. Talib-deen remains committed to using education as a tool for opportunity, empowerment, and change.
